Investment Club meets monthly at the home of PAWA investors. If you think
that you might be interested in joining this fun group, you need to attend

as well as an educational program to develop sound investment strategies.
Monthly investment is $100 per month per member. We meet monthly and members
rotate at being the hostess for cocktails and dinner. Everyone leaves
with a smile, even when the stock market does not keep us smiling INVESTMENT

PASSIONADA
SCREENING
The
Portuguese American Women's Association was the proud co-sponsor of the
Newport, Rhode Island, screening of PASSIONADA, a motion picture
depicting the life of a Portuguese American fado singing widow and single
parent living on the coast of southern New England. PAWA Secretary Ann
Marie Almeida Clarkson co-chaired the Summer, 2003, event coordinated
by the Rhode Island Film Commission. A reception in honor of the filmmakers
and stars was held previous to the film's showing at the Jane Pickens
Theatre.
Several
local businesses in support of the Portuguese American community also
contributed gifts in kind for this event. Music, dancers, and food donated
by the Vasco da Gama Holy Ghost Society created the ambience, sponsored
also by the Portuguese American Federation, Inc.
